So people say, Bless you, to __________________. Interestingly, similar expressions exist in other countries, too. In Germany, people say, Gesundheit , which means good health. The Germans recognize a sneeze as a possible sign of getting sick. The French and Spanish are similar to the Germans in their responses to sneezing. When someone sneezes, the French say, Sante, and the Spanish say, Salud. Both of these mean good health. The languages may be different, but they all wish you good health when you sneeze.
