Scaling up! A Global Market for IoT-Enabled Urban Services
Service co-creation BASE IoT APPLICATIONS Context-adaptive traffic management Multi-modal transportation Community Policy Suite ECOSYSTEM ENRICHMENT (3m ) New services/apps SME focus
Example: Eindhoven Trace Ring is one of the 12 Km main roads for motorize traffic in Eindhoven. Nowadays, Kennedylaan (part of the ring) is one of the most crowded areas and the traffic is growing (23 million traffic users per year) Expected growing of citizens in Eindhoven from 230.000 to 300.000 The societal goal is to decrease the environmental impact (NO2 & noise) in this and surrounding areas by adjusting the behavior of traffic management system in an intelligent and automated way.
