Curbside Recycling Trucks in the Township Township of Langley residents separate recycling into three streams: containers, paper, and glass. Paper and containers are emptied into different areas in the truck, ensuring the materials residents separate at home stay separated once collected. Glass is emptied into a side compartment of the truck, preventing broken shards from contaminating containers and paper. Once full, containers and paper are compacted into the separated body at the rear of the vehicle. Glass is lifted into an overhead chute, depositing bottles and jars into a third compartment. Unsorted materials or bins containing unaccepted items may be left at the curb with a tag indicating the reason.
