UN principles and recommendations for the 2020 round of population and housing censuses The UN principles and recommendations provide the list of census topics: core topics, core topics, derived and additional topics (table 3 of the Principles and recommendations). The main topics of the census are included in the program of the forthcoming population and housing census of the Kyrgyz Republic. The pilot population census will be conducted on 25 March, 2019, the main census on 23 March, 2020. National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic 2
Programme of the pilot census The national census includes 5 Questionnaires: Form 5 "Census form- Temporary residents (staying) within the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, located at the collective accommodation Form 4 "Census form Long-term absent (1 year or more) within the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic Form 2 "Census form - Population Form 1 " Census form - list of residents Form 3 "Census form - Housing Questionnaires 1, 2 and 3 were used for the censuses in 1999 and in 2009 Questionnaires 4 and 5 are new. Main features of the census programme Strict compliance with the over a 12-month period of residency/absence criteria Information on long-term (1 year or more) absent is separated from the normally living population. Some SDGs questions New questions on migration In addition, the classification of the continuity of residence in settlements has been changed (in particular, the military service of men on conscription into the national army).
