What is Different in 2022? Fewer number of competing sessions Special events and speakers inside our Resource Center Check out our new session formats: point- counterpoint debates, lightning rounds, paired 30-min. workshops Covid-19 Protocols More chairs and tables in every room to allow for maximum social distancing Masks required in all indoor spaces, including during sessions
Presentation Guidelines Review ASA's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Principles Convey messaging consistent with ASA s Priority Areas Avoid ageist and ableist language Show diversity in content and imagery Consider individuals' capabilities, preferences and contributions Frame chronological age as an asset, rather than something to fear or avoid
Workshops 30 - Minute Paired sessions 60 - Minute Workshops 90 - Minute Symposiums
Workshops: 30-, 60-, and 90-Minute Download the On Aging slide template 30-minute break between sessions plan to arrive to set up in that window Windows laptop (no DVD), projector, screen and wired microphone will be available in every workshop room Wi-Fi available, but have a back-up plan in the event internet access becomes unexpectedly unavailable Remember to bring your presentation on a flash-drive Volunteers will be around to: Help connect with IT support if needed Complete a headcount of each session
Workshops: 30-Minute Paired Sessions Two 30-minute presentations happen in sequence, in the same room There is one session number and title that encompasses both 30-minute presentations Tips: Be respectful of each other's time Minimize time between each paired session by pre-loading both presentations before the session begins Incorporate time for questions within your 30-minute period If you would like to communicate with the other speakers you're sharing time with in advance, reach out to Julia Burrowes jburrowes@asaging.org

Presenting Your Poster Presentation Times Tuesday, April 12th from 8:00-9:00 am OR Wednesday, April 13th from 8:00-9:00 am Tuesday Posters: Hang your poster anytime between 1pm on Monday and 8am on Tuesday Please take down your poster by 1pm on Tuesday Wednesday Posters: Hang your poster anytime between 2pm on Tuesday and 8am on Wednesday Please take down your poster by 5pm on Wednesday Board location assignments will be shared closer to the date of your presentation Fasteners will be available at each board Volunteers will be on hand if you have trouble locating your position
Lightning Rounds Fast-paced, broad range, and thought provoking! Lightning rounds have been curated to align with ASA s 5 priority areas. - Ageism & Culture - Economic Security - Justice & Equity - Health & Well-Being - Innovation & Social Impact Lightning Rounds will be hosted and moderated by ASA Board members and Advisory Council Chairs
Lightning Rounds Lead speakers will receive a PowerPoint template with 3 slides -Why -What -So What No more than 7 minutes total ASA will combine all slides into one file to be used during the session Slides are due to Julia Burrowes jburrowes@asaging.org by March 18th All questions will be taken at the end of all presentations Keep self introductions to a minimum
Roundtables Tuesday, April 12, 10:30 11:30a in Storyville Hall Topic-based, small-group discussions open to all with a brief prepared presentation; typically consultative in nature, with up to 10 people per table No A/V, so plan to bring handouts, or generate a QR code No need to track attendance, but you can if you'd like A volunteer will be available to help troubleshoot as needed
