  3. Q1: How did you get into this work? By default, has finance background Took Head of Finance role with Town of Bedford Combined role with Head of Human Resources Worked with Town of Bedford for 14 years Joined Primary Bank in 2015

  4. Q2: What kind of experience would employers in this field look for in a job applicant? Depends on industry If high union environment: Negotiation experience Projecting figures Balance competing interests Can remain neutral, tough to find Great listener, take into consideration the human factor Compassion Sound judgement skills

  5. Q3: What do you enjoy most and what rewards do you get from your work? Being the voice of reason to help employees in need When you actually succeed at helping and employee, very rewarding

  6. Q4: What are the frustrations? Difficult employees Entitlement generation (union or not)

  7. Reactions and Conclusions It was great to hear from someone who has had a lot of experience in the field I want to get into saying the things that I am learning in school. Good to know what I will have to deal with and what I should focus on to better succeed when I get that position.
