February 2015 doc.: IEEE 802.15-15-0151-00-003e List of Comments (1/6) Revision number of document 109 It appears revision 2 of 15-15-0109 is based on revision 0, but revision 1 exists. The latest revision should be used to update a document to make it easier to follow the changes and avoid any confusion. Some memos are in Japanese. It would be appreciated if English is used in official documents. Pages 8, 9, etc., of 109r2. Submission Slide 3 Gyung-Chul Sihn (ETRI) et al.
February 2015 doc.: IEEE 802.15-15-0151-00-003e List of Comments (2/6) Sub-clause 4.2 Ticket gates A definition of initial setup is necessary. (Example) What s included: after discovery or detection?, sync?, etc. Sub-clause 4.3 Wireless data storage ETRI will prepare some text for sub-clause 4.3. Sub-clause 5.1.1. Sub-clause 5.1.1 was Discovery. Question: Don t we need a sub-clause for discovery in this document? (No strong opinion. Just a question) Submission Slide 4 Gyung-Chul Sihn (ETRI) et al.
February 2015 doc.: IEEE 802.15-15-0151-00-003e List of Comments (3/6) Sub-clause 5.1.2 Media access mechanism Question: Aperiodic management frames are allowed? Submission Slide 5 Gyung-Chul Sihn (ETRI) et al.
February 2015 doc.: IEEE 802.15-15-0151-00-003e List of Comments (4/6) Sub-clause 5.1.4 Security Close proximity P2P systems are harder to exploit, but there exist reports/studies showing it is not impossible. 15.3e may not want to eliminate any possible future proposals on security. Proposed alternative text: Because of the limitation of the transmission range, lighter security mechanism for the PHY and MAC layers can be used for a close proximity P2P system. Submission Slide 6 Gyung-Chul Sihn (ETRI) et al.
February 2015 doc.: IEEE 802.15-15-0151-00-003e List of Comments (5/6) Sub-clause 5.1.4 Power management Toll gate and kiosk may not require power management, but Wireless data storage requires power management. Recommendation: Delete the last sentence No special power management schemes are required. Submission Slide 7 Gyung-Chul Sihn (ETRI) et al.
February 2015 doc.: IEEE 802.15-15-0151-00-003e List of Comments (6/6) Clause 7 Evaluation criteria The text ( All the requirements and conditions evaluated as a valid submission. ) doesn t seem to belong here. To ETRI s understanding, Evaluation criteria is about how to compare the performance of two competing schemes. The current text is about the technical scope of submissions. Recommendation: Move the current text to an appropriate location within Clause 2 General guidelines. Evaluation criteria are very important. Depending on which criteria are used, scheme A can perform better than scheme B or it could be the other way around. Submission Slide 8 Gyung-Chul Sihn (ETRI) et al.
