Operational pressures Operational pressures Number of COVID+ positive patients in Hospital has started to reduce, but there are still pressures in the system as a product of the January/February surge. c.50% additional pressure at ASC front door compared to previous years, reflecting system pressures and reduced capacity in other services, e.g. MH Trust. Social work capacity from other areas continues to provide additional support to ensure patients are discharged safely to onwards care arrangements and/or return home. Adult Social Care services still only undertaking essential visits in a safe way. Care assessments and reviews often undertaken by phone or video calls.
