John 3:16_ In Context Pt 4 John 3:17-21 Jesus did not come to condemn (judge NASB) the world The word condemn (KJV, NKJV,ESV) is also translated judge in (NASB) {krino} To come to a conclusion in the process of thinking and thus to be in a position to make a decision to come to a conclusion, to decide, to make up one s mind. (Louw & Nida) He did not come to execute at that time the final judgement (2 Pet 3:9) We must understand that judgement/condemnation had already come by declaration(3:17)

It is only in the indicative mood that a verb s tense indicates the time at which an action takes place.
