Integration of Cryosphere in WIPPS: Roadmap and Pilot Projects
This document outlines the roadmap for integrating cryosphere information and products in WIPPS (Weather Information and Prediction Services) during the Third Session of the Infrastructure Commission. Developed jointly by AG-GCW and SC-ESMP, the roadmap includes milestones, new product proposals, and pilot projects focusing on cold region hydrological products, sea ice thickness evaluation, surface mass balance monitoring, cryosphere hazards, permafrost monitoring, and icebergs forecasting. The aim is to enhance cryosphere data utilization within WIPPS for improved service delivery.
