Who am I? Heidi Peterson MS in Anatomy Professor of Anatomy and Physiology Teaching experience: 25 years Online since 2001: Master course developer and Faculty online trainer IHCC Master Teacher Develop curriculum, assessments, and learning objectives with a team of 6 instructors for multiple programs in the Health Sciences, concurrent enrollment, and A&S transfer students Heidi.Peterson@indianhills.edu
Why DITKI? Student engagement and learning in multiple course modalities Face to Face Live Virtual Learning; Fixed Time Online Hybrid Online Visual representation Drawing and memory connection Cost effective
Where we use it and who uses it Courses it is used in Human Anatomy, lecture and lab Human Physiology, lab Basic Anatomy and Physiology, lecture and lab Anatomy and Physiology Fundamentals Soon in Introduction to Biology, and Biology 1 Students and Faculty Faculty usage varies All A&P instructors use it in all modalities Students numbers: Per term varies, on average around 75. Since we have started in 2017, over 1000 students have used DITKI in multiple courses
How we integrate it Student lab fees pay for license Integrated into the Learning Management System (LMS) Blackboard; learning units Push the students out to drawittoknowit.com Assignments are turned in on the LMS in dropboxes for easy grading Let s take a look
