Integration with Access and Common Services for EU-funded Project
Explore the integration status and future steps of OPENCoastS project in integrating Access Enabling Services (AAI, monitoring, accounting) and Common Services (EGI FedCloud, EUDAT B2FIND, INDIGO PaaS). Assessments, achievements, and next steps are outlined for token translation, storage solution decisions, and monitoring requirements.

OPENCoastS report 3rd of December 2018 Dissemination level: Public eosc-hub.eu @EOSC_eu EOSC-hub receives funding from the European Union s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 777536.
Integration with Access Enabling Services Access Enabling services: AAI, monitoring, accounting, etc. Integration status (done, ongoing, planned, assessment) JIRA ticket ID Service Comments and Issues EOSCWP10-19 EGI Checkin done Web frontend is already integrated with EGI Checkin, OpenID authentication EOSCWP10-42 Accounting planned Compute accounting: TS uses EGI Grid/Fedcloud which already gathers and displays accounting. Storage accounting: effort (new probe) depends on whether B2SAFE will be used standalone or the one provided by EUDAT EOSCWP10-43 Monitoring assessment Being assessed, not currently a priority EOSCWP10-26 Next step is testing OpenID token translation to X509 for Grid submission (currently done with robot certificate) MasterPortal planned 2 4/13/2025
Integration with Common Services Common services: EGI FedCloud, EUDAT B2FIND, INDIGO PaaS. etc. Integration status (done, ongoing, planned, assessment) JIRA ticket ID Service Comments and Issues EOSCWP10-18 The TS is integrating the job submission to dirac4egi in the backend DIRAC4EGI ongoing EOSCWP10-24 assessment B2SHARE/B2SAFE Currently evaluating B2SAFE TS wants in principle (not yet decided) to deploy own B2SAFE instance 3 4/13/2025
Status, main achievements and issues Assessment of token translation: MasterPortal recommended Storage accounting effort would depend on service used (B2SAFE most likely) and whether the service would be deployed standalone or directly supported by EUDAT (added link in JIRA) 4 4/13/2025
Next steps Final decision on the storage solution, most likely B2SAFE; define type of deployment (standalone, external) Start assessment of token translation using MasterPortal service Clearly define monitoring requirements 5 4/13/2025
