Interface Between Cochrane Skin Group Reviews and Guidelines at Annual Meeting 2016
French Satellite of Cochrane Skin Group, the French Centre of Evidence-Based Dermatology, provides literature updates and guidelines in collaboration with Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS). The guidelines focus on various dermatological conditions such as acne vulgaris, hydradenitis suppurativa, chronic urticaria, metastatic melanoma, and bacterial skin infections. The multidisciplinary group involved in developing the guidelines includes dermatologists, GPs, gynecologists, endocrinologists, infectiologists, microbiologists, psychiatrists, pediatricians, and consumers. Literature synthesis and appraisal are based on systematic reviews, RCTs, and observational studies. Complementary therapies for acne vulgaris are also explored, covering treatments like minocycline, spironolactone, oral contraceptives, benzoyl peroxide, azelaic acid, isotretinoin, light therapies, antibiotics, and retinoids. Further details and guidelines for acne vulgaris can be found at reco.dermato-sfd.org/acne.
