INTERMOUNTAIN LACROSSE FALL 2022 COACHES MEETING

Girls Spring 2021 Format 7/8 Grade 14U = 12v12 Field = 120x70 5/6 Grade 12U = 8v8 Field = 70X40 3/4 Grade 10U = 7v7 Field = 70x40 NO Goalies K-2 Grade 8U = 4v4 Field = 60x35 NO Goalies
Games part 1 7 regular season games per team All games played on Saturdays in Fall (Sep 10 Oct 22) Approximate game times between 9am-4pm HOST Programs Setup/takedown, cleanup, etc. goals, table, chair, flip score, timer, score sheet Host programs will need to provide someone to run the tables! If your program would like to host games please email alice@imlaxutah.org with available dates & times!
Games part 2 All games will be on a running clock 8U games- are two 18-minute running halves (5 minute half time) 10 U games- are two 18-minute running halves (5 minute half time) 12 U games- are two 20-minute running halves (5 minute half time) 14 U games- are two 25-minute running halves (5 minute half time) 14U & 12U- two (2) two-minute time outs per game 10U & 8U- one (1) two-minute time out per game
Practices Coaches are responsible to coordinate their team practices and location May begin week of August 15th! Please check your rosters online with your attendance from practice. (Players think they are registered when they really are not, or might have selected the incorrect team, or league.) If a player does not appear on your team roster online something is wrong 5-8th grade teams: May have up to 3 Practices per week, up to 2 hours per session K-4th grade teams: May have up to 2 Practices per week, up to 1.5 hours per session
Coach Requirements 1. Head Coaches must be Level 1 certified. 2. Register www.imlaxutah.org must register each season. Once a coach is registered, they will have access to their rosters. 3. Check and email your rosters with practice locations, dates, and times. You will have new players registering every day. Please constantly check your rosters online for new players. 4. Complete the IMLAX Spectrum Security background check. (once you complete your spectrum background check your badge will be created and brought to the IMLAX office) 5. Have your coaches badge on you when you are at practice and games.
Supplies Can be picked up at the IMLax office during office hours (Mon-Fri 11am- 5pm) Coaches Badges: Ready for pick up on September 1st Reversible Jerseys: Ready for pick up on September 1st 4 Dozen balls per team at 5-8th grade 3 Dozen balls per team at K-4th grade Goalie Gear is available to borrow for the season at the IMLAX Office (only for 5/6 & 7/8 teams) Please note that USA Lacrosse passed a new specification for the chest protector. Player Scholarships Head Coach Only (need to contact your program administrator/coordinator to get a coupon code before you register) Please email info@imlaxutah.org or call the office 801-590-9950 if you need to be refunded Team Scholarship 1 per TEAM Need based. Scholarship form is on our website under girls youth/online forms (on the left side menu)
Policy Reminders ALL COACHES MUST BE REGISTERED AND PASS BACKGROUND CHECK IN ORDER TO COACH. BADGE MUST BE WORN AT PRACTICE AND GAMES. Players must play for the team within their high school boundaries where they currently live. Players CANNOT play up into the league above their age group without successful completion of Age/Division Variance Form and approval by IMLAX. Players are only allowed to play up 1 grade level. Players CANNOT play on multiple teams if your program fields two or more teams. Absolutely NO scheduling requests. (can t accommodate them all) Coaches should not coach multiple teams.

General Policy Reminders Intermountain Lacrosse and US Lacrosse promote good sportsmanship by athletes, coaches and spectators. Profanity, racial or sexist comments or other intimidating actions directed at officials, athletes, coaches, team representatives, or fans by any person will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the site of competition, and potentially participation in the league. We ask you to let the coaches coach. Let the players play. Let the officials do their job and keep our athletes safe. We encourage you to cheer loudly, proudly, and positively! IMLAX Weekly Sportsmanship Award Each week during the Spring and Fall Season nominations may be taken for an individual, group, official, coach, player, parent, etc. that was seen exhibiting great sportsmanship. Our local lacrosse vendors will help sponsor these awards.
Sportsmanship Be professional with the officials. Keep fields clean! Clean up your bench area. Park in designated areas. Be respectful of the table, parents, players, trainers, and officials!! Remember that your players parents are watching you! No foul language period! It is the coaches responsibility to remind fans to be respectful if the crowd becomes rowdy- Please Have a Parent Meeting before the season starts to discuss sportsmanship!

IMLAX LEAGUE RULES 10U (3/4) plays with no goalie. 8U (K-2) is allowed to use a regular ball for play. 8U (K-2) will now be playing two 18-minute running halves (5-minute half time)
