Arnold Blitz, and William Einzig of Blitz-Weinhard, along with the owners of Star Brewing, Olympia Brewing and Century Brewing Strategically placing the plant along the Columbia River in Vancouver, WA to provide access to barley growing regions and allow transit via railcar or cargo ship. Opened 2ndMalthouse in Pocatello, ID in 1981. Expansion to double capacity completed in 2018.
