Underlying principles Pathway 2 will support international collaborative projects led by organisations in Wales. This pathway will fund Welsh-led international partnerships to develop a project output which addresses a specific issue or sector priority in Wales/internationally. Both staff and learners are eligible for international travel (mobilities) provided that this makes a key contribution to the development of the project.
Sectors Schools Youth Further Education (FE) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) Adult Education Higher Education institutions are not eligible for funding but can be part of a Pathway 2 project as a non-funded partner Cross-sector projects are welcome
Themes Developments in education Projects under this theme should align with relevant developments taking place within the sector. Diversity and Inclusion Examples could include (but are not limited to): bilingualism, multilingualism and Welsh culture; Identity and belonging; Inequality, access and social inclusion Climate Change Climate change education; Decarbonisation
Project output The focus of Pathway 2 is project outputs which are of value to other organisations and/or the sector(s). Taith is open to innovation and new ideas. Project outputs could come in a range of different formats such as written, visual, video, workshops, etc. New models or methods Resources/toolkits Training/teaching materials Digital resources/outputs
Dissemination A key aspect of Pathway 2 is the requirement for project outputs to be shared and disseminated. Applying organisations will need to demonstrate clearly how they intend to share the results of their project: An event/conference/workshop The sharing of resources through an online platform, or through an app Training sessions for individuals/organisations to develop knowledge and understanding
Available budget FE & VET 0.9m Adult Education 0.44 Schools 0.4m Youth 0.37m The maximum award for each project is 75,000

Timeline 5 October 2022: opening of Pathway 2 funding call. 1 December 2022, 12pm: application deadline. February 2023: outcome notification will be sent to all applying organisations. 1 May 2023: projects start.
