Would like to hear the tape and to see the start video My coach heard clear line I was arriving close with ESP 132 to finishline on her leeward ask for review of the start as I got a BfD and did not start early It might be a mistake of ranking between gbr 983 and ned2020 on the last race of the day, according to the gps tracking where we can see clearly gbr983 in front of ned2020 on the finish line. Ned 2020 is ranked 20 and gbr983 is ranked 21, it should be the contrary. This can change the ranking of ned2020 and me (fra3) for the 10th position for the medal race, as I would be 10th and ned2020 11th overall ( we would be equality of points but I have better races( 3 first places) which I reckon is the way to decide who is in front) IQ FOIL Women 21 Oct 2022 at 21:23 After checking the video, I confirm you are BFD 28 15 0 ISR 390 Fra 57 , ISR 32 Chn 3 Gonzalo Costa After checking the two arrivals sheet you are 17th, behind ESP 132 IQ FOIL Women 21 Oct 2022 at 20:09 29 14 0 NOR 332 NED 33, POL 77 ESP 132, FRA 11 Gonzalo Costa IQ FOIL Women After checking the video, I confirm you are BFD 30 Yellow ISR 6 Gonzalo Costa After checking the video, NED2020 finish ahead GBR983. IQ FOIL Women 16 Oct 2022 at 12:55 This was solved my Technical Committee on 16th October 2 ISR 44 Linoy Geva Technical Committee Gonzalo Costa Answer 1: In this answer only the 4 most leeward boats are going to be addressed. Rule 14 considerations will not be addressed. It is assumed that mark 3 in the drawing is the First mark . Assuming that the boards are approaching the starting line to start, Blue, Green and Red are not entitled to mark room at the pin mark since RRS Part II section C rules do not apply in this situation (See Section C preamble). Since the boards are overlapped RRS 11 applies between them, therefore every windward board has to keep clear from the leeward board. If the incident occurs during the last 30 seconds before the starting signal, Blue, Green and Red are sailing above the shortest course to the first mark and in doing so they are not promptly sailing astern of the other boards. Therefore if as a result a windward board would need to take action to avoid contact, a leeward board infringe RRS B2 17. Answer 2: Assuming that the boards are approaching Q&A n.1 - ITA Team IQfoil World Championship BREST 2022 Situation: 17 ON THE SAME TACK BEFORE A REACHING START Rule 17 is changed to: When, at the warning signal, the course to the first mark is approximately ninety degrees from the true wind, a board overlapped to leeward of another board on the same tack during the last 30 seconds before her starting signal shall not sail above the shortest course to the first mark while they remain overlapped if as a result the other board would need to take action to avoid contact, unless in doing so she promptly sails astern of the other board. QUESTION: On position 3 and 4, BLU , GREEN and RED are entitled to room and mark room on PINK ? All of them are on the shortest course to the first mark . If BLU GREEN and RED are entitled to room or mark room , PINK to keep clear from 18 Oct 2022 at 12:14 4 Coach ADRIANO STELLA ADRIANO STELLA International Jury Gonzalo Costa 34
