WHAT WAS NEW? The principle of studies implementation The concept of modular studies Conducting just one module lasting for about 3 weeks Accommodation & meals according to EMILYO- LoD5 (framework) Accommodation, meals and other expenses in relation to the education are free of charge for the members of the European Union Basic Officer Education Institutions Incoming cadets accommodated with Lithuanian cadets Participation in the Lithuanian cadets daily routine: getting up, exercises (e.g. AT), formations, etc. Integration of foreign cadets into the battalion New module just for International Cadets/Civilian Students Lithuanian Language, Culture and History 23 June 2021 www.lka.lt
ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES Informal education Possibility to join informal activities with Lithuanian cadets Integration into the military training activities Shooting exercises outside the MAL Excursions and museums in Lithuania together with Lithuanian cadets Visiting museums with mentors Attending traditional events of the MAL (Freshers' Fair, Culture Night, etc.) Traveling to the sea coast, taking home to families Cultural events 23 June 2021 www.lka.lt

EVALUATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL SEMESTER (I) According to the MAL's quality assurance system, cadets' satisfaction with the studies and International Semester is measured by semester/course evaluation questionnaires. SUCCESS LESSONS LEARNED Satisfaction with international mobility experience in general: 9.14/10 The new module Lithuanian Language, Culture and History should be the first one Overall implementation of the course: 8.43/10 Updated module Lithuanian History, Culture and Language included excursions Satisfaction with the way the MAL dealt with issues: 9.14/10 Satisfaction with the integration into the MAL differs among cadets and civilian students 23 June 2021 www.lka.lt
EVALUATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL SEMESTER (II) SUCCESS LESSONS LEARNED Added value due to the integration into the lectures together with the Lithuanian cadets (additional comments of cadets) Proposal to give more hours to some interesting modules "Boring lessons in different groups" (separated International and Lithuanian cadets) "To involve more civilian students in the life of cadets" Not equal English proficiency level of students Full integration of foreign cadets into the battalion Mentoring system, communication via groups on Facebook Messenger - 23 June 2021 www.lka.lt
