Objective of Ethio-SHEP Sensitization WS 12,13 May 2019 Gashuna hotel ,Dangila Awi zone ,Amhara region
Background Ethio-SHEP project started from 2017 and exercised 2 cycle of activities in 4 woredas in Amhara region.(Total:8 groups) ABoA shows the interest to scale-up SHEP approach in high horticulture potential area in Amhara region based on the result and evaluation of the project performance. As a first trial(pre-scale-up) ,ABoA and the project agreed to organize Sensitization WS to introduce the proposal system to select the high potential area and groups from the current target zones including additional high potential woredas.

Objective of the Sensitization WS 1.To understand what is SHEP approach and Ethio-SHEP project (Concept, Implementation structure & modality ,Role & Responsibility etc) 2.To share the past 2 year s experience of Ethio-SHEP project in Amhara (Activities,result ,impact ,lessons & learnt )by the project & CPs 3.To introduce the proposal system to select the 3rdyear target scheme and group(Detail contents of format etc)
Expected Output Based on 1 ,2 and 3 ,potential woredas who have the interest and willingness to join the program will submit the proposals. The proposals will be scored and evaluated by evaluation committee, then select the target site after the physical site assessment and interviews etc.
