  1. INTRODUCTION TO HEALTHCARE TEACHER: MONIQUE TOLBERT

  2. Complete all face to face assignments as well as Digital work assignments. Both face-to-face and digital assignments counts towards a student s grade EXPECTIONS Please check canvas and learn.aeseducation.com for due dates for all assignments.

  3. .1. Always respect the teacher and your classmates. . 2. Be in your seat and working when the tardy bell rings. 3. Be prepared for class with paper, pencil, and a blue or black pen every day. EXPECTATIONS 4. Attend class regularly or expect to have make-up work when absent.

  4. Use Use of cell phone or other personal electronic devises are allowed only when given permission by the teacher. Take Take care of personal needs before class. EXPECTATIONS Turn in Turn in your own work. Refer to parent/student handbook on academic Integrity Stay Stay Organized. All written notes and guided notes must be placed in the student s binders under the correct tab.

  6. CANVAS / DIGITAL LEARNING DAYS Canvas: Go to modules and find the module that is due. Modules are listed on canvas however, students will go to learn.aeseducation.com and complete module work.

  7. APPLIED EDUCATION SYSTEM Applied Education System Applied Education System is the program that is used for students to complete all their healthcare modules. Some of these modules will be taught in class while others will be strictly for digital learning.   8. Students are given anywhere from 3 to 5 days to complete each modules. Work is not required on weekends or holidays, unless the student is behind or failed to complete the module during the week. HEALTHCARE MODULES If a students have any questions, they can send me a message through remind or via email. Communication is very important Communication is very important In Applied Education Systems, some of the modules have videos and interactive segments for students. If students are absent for face-to-face learning, all face-to-face assignments and PowerPoint lessons can be found on canvas.

  9. ASSESSNENTS (QUIZES AND TEST) Quizzes and Module test can be found in the module on learn.aeseducation.com. All quizzes and module test can be taken twice. The student have to send Mrs. Tolbert a messages asking to reset the quiz or the test. Faces-to-face Assessments can also be taken twice. Students are required to take notes or use the guided notes given by Mrs. Tolbert on all modules and face-to- face instruction. These will help the student to pass all quizzes and module test.

  10. Face-to-Face tutoring only. Tutoring is available by appointment after school starting at 3:30 and on Fridays from 10am to 12pm. TUTORING/HELP To sign up for tutoring please see Mrs. Tolbert.

  11. Tips for parents/guardia ns to help students to stay organized and manage their time wisely during digital days. Schedule Schedule Set a schedule for your student on digital days (when to get up, when to start working, how much time to allocate per each class) Allow 1 hour per class Breaks: Breaks: Include Breaks in the schedule as well as lunch time and snack time Calendar or planners Calendar or planners Have students use either calendar on their phones or a planner to keep up with their due dates and assignments. .
