  4. Childrens Rights: Political will or wont? Eurochild 2023 report on children in need across Europe. 26 countries, 38 members. Children s rights; Child poverty; European Child Guarantee; European Semester Process; Countries in Accession.

  5. Report in Summary Children s Rights - 5 countries have a specific Child s Rights or Childhood minister. 21 countries have no specific cabinet minister. Poverty & Social Exclusion - Increase in EU - 24.7% in 2022. Reduction in majority of non-EU countries in 2021/2022. But increases in England & T rkiye. European Child Guarantee - little evidence of robust indicators. European Semester Process only 2 Member States received specific recommendations for 2023 that directly address measures for children.

  6. Recommendations 1. Put children s rights at the heart of the political agenda. 2. Invest in efficient data collection. 3. Protect and support vulnerable children. 4. Invest in prevention. 5. Promote children s well-being online and offline. 6. Implement the Child Guarantee at national level. 7. Put children s rights at the core of the European Semester Cycle. 8.Recognise children as agents of change in their own right.
