EMPLOYMENT BASED POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMME EMPLOYMENT BASED POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMME Focus on developing researcher careers Based on Danish Industrial PhD Model Educate researchers at Masters and PhD level with an insight into business aspects of research and innovation. Facilitate research collaboration, knowledge transfer and networking between Irish based enterprise and researchers at Irish Higher Education Institutions. 30 awards in pilot call across all research disciplines (SET and HSS)

THE AWARD THE AWARD Master s by research 12 months where researcher is not registered for structured coursework 24 months where researcher is registered for structured coursework PhD 48 months where researcher is registered for structured coursework 36 months where researcher is not registered for structured coursework Scholarship will be awarded to the individual researcher Full Time Research only
THE RESEARCHER THE RESEARCHER Open to existing employees as well as new employees Cannot be enrolled as postgraduate student at time of application Subject to Irish Research Council assessment Must engage in full time research Reporting requirements Must reside in Ireland for duration of award
EMPLOYMENT PARTICIPANT EMPLOYMENT PARTICIPANT Employ researcher for duration of Award / operate normal salary and tax procedures. Commitment to top up researcher salary to minimum of 24,000 pa Professional working environment capable of supporting the researcher and research project; Capacity to provide mentoring and professional guidance to the individual researcher Ensure that the Research Project is embedded in organisation;
