IVF Process Step by Step Timeline Understanding the IVF Process Step by Step Timeline is essential for anyone preparing for the journey. At World Fertility Services, we guide patients with complete transparency and personalized care, ensuring they know what to expect at each stage.

Initial Consultation and Fertility Assessment The first stage involves meeting with a fertility specialist. At this consultation, medical history, previous treatments, and lifestyle factors are discussed. Blood tests and ultrasounds may be recommended to assess ovarian reserve, hormone levels.

The patient is prescribed hormonal medications (gonadotropins) to encourage the ovaries to produce multiple mature eggs instead of the single egg released naturally each month. During this stage, regular ultrasounds and blood tests are conducted to monitor follicle growth.

Egg Retrieval (Ovum Pick-up) When the follicles are mature, a trigger shot is given to prepare the eggs for retrieval. About 34 36 hours later, egg retrieval is performed under mild sedation. Using ultrasound guidance, a fine needle is used to collect the eggs from the ovaries.
