When Jesus heard that John had been arrested, he withdrew to Galilee. He left Nazareth and went to live in Capernaum by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali, that what had been said through Isaiahtheprophetmightbefulfilled: Thepeoplesaw a greatlight.
Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the way to the sea, beyond Galilee of the Gentiles, the people who sit in darkness have seen a great light, on those dwelling in a land overshadowed by death light has arisen. the Jordan, Thepeoplesaw a greatlight.
From that time on, Jesus began to preach and say, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Thepeoplesaw a greatlight.
Why did Jesus move to Capernaum? He wanted to fulfill Isaiah s prophesy. Isaiah was a prophet who lived around 700 years before Jesus. Jesus knew the scriptures which were inspired by His Father and He wanted to glorify Him. Reflection
What does the prophecy mean: the people have seen a great light ? Jesus is the light of the world and taking God s message of love to that gentiles. He shined land of Reflection
How is Jesus light for us? The light guides our steps in the darkness so we do not fall and Jesus guides our steps to happiness and to Heaven; light gives us warmth and Jesus gives us the warmth of God slovetosharewitheveryone. Reflection
Why does Jesus say: Repent, for the KingdomofHeavenisathand ? When we repent, we turn away from sin that separates us from God and move closer to God. We convert . Jesus is God, our King, and His followers form part of His Kingdom. Jesus wants us all to share in His Kingdom on earth and in Heaven. Reflection
