Intro: Luke 2:10 EHV But the angel said to them, Do not be afraid. For behold, I bring you good news of great joy, which will be for all people Luke 2:14 EHV Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward mankind. Hebrews 1:3a NASB And Jesus is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature
So What Did Jesus Show Us About The Father? 1. HE SHOWED US GOD LIKES PARTNERING WITH DIVERSE AND UNLIKELY PEOPLE. (Matthew 4:18-22) 2. HE SHOWED US GOD ENJOYS HEALING PEOPLE WHO DON T DESERVE IT. (whole NT) 3. HE SHOWED US THAT MERCY TRIUMPHS OVER JUDGMENT. (John 8:1-11) 4. HE SHOWED US THAT GOD S LOVE BREAKS ALL THE RULES (Luke 15) 5. HE SHOWED US THAT GOD EMBRACES KIDS AND UNDESIRABLES.
Acts 10:36 NLT This is the message of Good News for the people of Israel that there is peace with God through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.
Acts 10:44 NLT Even as Peter was saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell upon all who were listening to the message.
Romans 5:1-2 NLT 1Therefore, since we have been made right in God s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God s glory.
Romans 5:1-5 TPT 1Our faith in Jesus transfers God s righteousness to us and he now declares us flawless in his eyes. This means we can now enjoy true and lasting peace with God, all because of what our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has done for us. 2Our faith guarantees us permanent access into this marvelous kindness that has given us a perfect relationship with God. What incredible joy bursts forth within us as we keep on celebrating our hope of experiencing God s glory! 3But that s not all! Even in times of trouble we have a joyful confidence, knowing that our pressures will develop in us patient endurance. 4And patient endurance will refine our character, and proven character leads us back to hope. 5And this hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because we can now experience the endless love of God cascading into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in us!
