JIRA Issue tracking system similar to Footprints Better integration with software development tools Better licensing terms User interface more comfortable for users Next version of Footprints had significant usability issues Upgrade was never applied, leaving us multiple versions behind Includes more powerful filter, search, reporting tools 2 SSUG

  3. Logging In Main JIRA URL: https://jira.datasys.swri.edu Use same username as Footprints Passwords defaulted to newPassword Please log in and change this as soon as possible If multiple projects are visible, look for SunGuide (SG) Demonstrations may use SDP (SunGuide Demo Project) 3 SSUG

  4. Finding Issues Footprints issue database will be migrated Attempting to maintain issue numbering Select Projects | SunGuide, or Issues | Search 4 SSUG

  5. Issue List All issues are visible, regardless of origin Additional filters available 5 SSUG

  6. Issue Search Search by most common fields, or by any text Advanced search using SQL-like syntax available 6 SSUG

  7. Issue Creation Create issues using blue Create button at screen top Similar fields from FP Title -> Summary Affected Modules -> Components Platform -> OS Version Operational Impact -> Priority 7 SSUG

  8. Reporting Predefined standard JIRA reports available in Reports tab on left of issue list Several reports allow grouping by field Some reports use filters If new filter is needed, please let us know More custom reports can be generated using issue search, then exporting 8 SSUG

  9. Migration and Transition Footprints will be locked down during transition Will likely take one afternoon During this time, any issues should be reported by phone, and will be recorded when JIRA is active May be bumps or hiccups as users learn JIRA Feel free to experiment and ask questions 9 SSUG
