Beginning Sunday, June 15, through Friday, August 15, SPAARs Community Engagement Committee is collecting backpacks and school supplies for donation to nonprofits that serve families and children. Staff from Wilder Foundation in St. Paul anticipate high demand for notebooks and backpacks. Help pack the bus! Members can help make this possible by: Coordinating a team collection or drop off location at the office. Door knocking to ask others to help Pack the Bus! Checking in with former clients to help support the community. Collecting items at their neighborhood National Night Out events. Send kids back to school with what they need! How to donate: Shop and deliver items to SPAAR by Friday, August 15. Email spaar@spaar.com to donate via credit card. Host an office or neighborhood collection box.

Mark your calendar for the SPAAR-B-Q on July 22 The SPAAR-B-Q is a networking cookout for members. Join in for the ultimate local networking cookout. The SPAAR-B-Q is a networking event for members to connect, mingle and enjoy some delicious food. Come hungry and ready to have fun. SPAAR will be serving up a delicious hot dog bar with all the fixin's, chips and dessert. Date: Tuesday, July 22, 2025 Time: 11am to 1pm Location: 325 Roselawn Ave East, St. Paul, MN 55117 Cost: FREE! Register on SPAAR s calendar.
SPAAR supports National Night Out Are you a block captain? National Night Out is Tuesday, August 5. SPAAR wants to again support members who serve as block captains of their neighborhood celebrations within SPAAR s service area. SPAAR will provide $50 Cub Foods gift cards toward refreshments for the neighborhood events. Current members may request a card by emailing spaar@spaar.com while supplies last. Cards will be available for pickup at the SPAAR-B-Q on Tuesday, July 22, or will be mailed out by Friday, August 1. The NNO program has been sponsored by SPAAR s Community Engagement Committee since 2017.
