Best Practices Intergration of Services: The facility has managed to achieve good linkages between core service points within the hospital i.e TB Clinic which within PSC, Referral of pregnant mothers from MCH etc, Lab , pharmacy, PMTCTWITH ANC Refill Concept: Due to big volume of clients the clinic had a great challenge in providing quality care to its many clients of average 350 who would turn up at the clinic in a day versus small staff, this lead to the realization of the refill concept where client would be filtered based on their clinical condition and duration they have been on HAART or general care then given express services. Out of this effort the clinic has achieved reduced workload and burn outs, Time the clients takes within the clinic and general improvement in quality care.
Conclusion: The facility strives to continuously provide sustainable, and quality HIV care, management and treatment services. we enjoy strong support from the MOH line departments and others like minded agencies within the district and by extension, Homa bay county. We have drastically reduced erratic distribution of TCA from 2hours/patient to 30minutes/patient.
