  1. Spec Changes

  2. Creeping Red Fescue has been removed. Replaced with a 20% increase of KY 31

  3. Apply Lime to the seedbed as directed by the engineer or Central Office (no longer incidental). Quantity will be measured in tons

  4. The term topdressing has been replaced with "Fertilizer .

  5. Always apply Fertilizer at time of INITIAL seeding (pay unit bid price). For jobs that go past one growing season, a second application will applied.

  6. Installation will be paid for by the bid price of ton in cy for the stone and sy for the fabric, a change order can be written for this work. However, maintenance, including additional stone, will be considered incidental. The stone used needs to be of a min size of #2 or as large as 4~6 size to be effective Each Construction Entrance location must be approved by the Section Engineer prior to installation.

  7. The access point, depending on soil conditions and the number of trucks, may need to be longer or even deeper so as to assure cleanliness of vehicles.

  8. Access points need to be situated so that a) trapped mud doesn t flush onto the roadway in a rain and b) project soils do not wash onto the stone in this case the use of silt fence may be needed.

  9. Clean durable shot rock from the project may be used. Provisions, such as a sweeper, need to be made so as to keep the public road clean.
