Overview The Spotlight on Service Program was created by the Service Projects Committee to educate Key Clubbers about the Key Club International and Cali-Nev-Ha Service Initiatives and encourage active participation with/for the organizations and initiatives. A service initiative was assigned to each month in which clubs should focus a project or two on supporting the organization or initiative.   3. Each month, clubs will receive information about the service initiative through the newsletters as well as through the board and officer Google reflectors. Lieutenant Governors should also encourage the clubs to participate in this program. Those clubs that submit their project through the online form will receive recognition via an electronic certificate. CNH| Training Topic: Spotlight on Service CNH Key Club District

  6. 09 | Nickelodeon (The Big Help) Overview: The Nickelodeon Big Help focuses on issues in service, education, environment, and health. Clubs can start their Key Club year off with simple projects to do in support of the Nickelodeon Big Help. Possible Projects: Feed the homeless, Clothes and Toys Drive, Feed military families, Do activities with Special Education students. Visit www.nick.com/thebighelp/explanation to get more ideas.   7. 10 | UNICEF Overview: Kiwanis International and UNICEF are currently working together to eliminate Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus from the face of the earth by 2015. October is the perfect month to raise funds for UNICEF, especially with Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF.   8. 11 | Project with Kiwanis Family Overview: Being that it is Kiwanis Family month, it s the perfect time to get to know your Kiwanis Family and enjoy GOLDEN time together! Whether the project is a social or a service project, make sure to introduce new members to their sponsoring Kiwanis!   9. 12 | Project Supporting Children Overview: Children: Their Future, our Focus . Children are very important people in our communities as they are the future leaders. Being that it is the season of holidays, do a service project for them! Possible Projects: Christmas Present Drive, Toys-for-Tots, Visit Children in CMN Hospitals, Feed a Family CNH| Training Topic: Spotlight on Service CNH Key Club District

  10. 01 | Pediatric Trauma Program Overview: Often times, we use Fall Rally as a time to fundraise for PTP. The month of January is the perfect time to either start fundraising again or continue the fundraising for PTP.   11. 02 | Childrens Miracle Network Overview: The annual IHOP Pancake Day takes place in February, why not help out?! This is also a good time to educate and raise awareness about children and CMN Hospitals. You could pay a visit to children in local hospitals on valentines day!   12. 03 | March of Dimes Overview: The annual March for Babies often takes place during the month of March. Why not assist your local March of Dimes coordinators with executing the event?! Clubs can also raise money and awareness for mothers and babies! Possible Projects: Prematurity Awareness Day, Purple Shirt Day, March for Babies Visit www.marchofdimes.com for more information about getting involved.   13. 04 | Project with Kiwanis Overview: Being that the Key Club year is coming to an end, this is the perfect time to thank your Kiwanis for all the support they provided your club throughout the year!   14. Project Submission Clubs must submit their project through an electronic form. The form is very easy to complete as it simply asks for project name, project description, project reflection, and basic club information. Submissions will be due no later than the 30thof each month. Clubs have the option of submitting a picture of members doing service. We highly suggest minimal picture of people posing and more service action. Pictures should be sent to cnhkc.sp@gmail.com.   15. Recognition Each club that submits a project will receive an online certificate. Those that submit a project each month, will receive an end of year recognition. CNH| Training Topic: Spotlight on Service CNH Key Club District
