Student Poll Responses (2 of 3): What do you think are the biggest differences Student Poll Responses (2 of 3): What do you think are the biggest differences between going to school in high school and in post between going to school in high school and in post- -secondary? secondary? More independence and personal responsibility. The amount of self regulation and responsibility needed. Amount of people in classes Daily schedules. (What classes on what days, etc,) Uni is harder and more specific to what you want to learn. Freedom as of living expense I think the main difference is the work load. Time management is also extremely important. The work load and the time of the classes the level of independence The amount of school work and time management and freedom The amount of time for a course you have to advocate for yourself in uni More choice to study what you're interested in More independence. More responsibility for self-directed learning. Level of self advocacy required University you have to be able to manage your time on your own and keep track of due dates. More work so more self management Heavier workload, higher expectations, The price. And also The specifics of your learning, ( what subject you go to post secondary for) Independence. THey won't baby you through classes anymore You are more independent Virtual PMC Make the Cut 2020

  7. Student Poll Responses (3 of 3): What do you think are the biggest differences Student Poll Responses (3 of 3): What do you think are the biggest differences between going to school in high school and in post between going to school in high school and in post- -secondary? secondary? the classes and what's taught in them, and the transition between the spaces schedule changes and specialization no one takes attendance, you have to be self sufficient I think the biggest difference between the two is the classes and subjects that are available the amount of work that we need to do, and time we have to put in The biggest difference could be that you could move into a dormitory instead of returning home everyday. Post-secondary is a lot more loose as in very self driven not a lot of help unless u seek it out More freedom, the ability to control your own time management, fewer classes so no sitting in class from 8:50 to 3. Heavier work load, tighter deadlines You are responsible of your own learning and have to advocate for yourself. Whereas in high school, there are multiple people trying to help you out and navigate. more freedom for scheduling classes in post secondary In high school, you are just taking a variety of different courses Virtual PMC Make the Cut 2020
