Problem statement Assistants: MOHAC and MITHAC members MHSC Office: Ms Dimakatso Makgati and Ms Tabisa Melamane Case study: Presentation from De Beers on Linkage to care On-site and On-line Attendees representing (Government/Employers/Labour/ Service Providers and others) Dominant Disciplines: Occupational Health, Health and Safety (from H&S reps) Focused-Group Discussions: Responding to 5-Preset Questions 25 years in Pursuit of Zero Harm

Recommendations from the session Ensuring access to TB and HIV services for employees, families and peri-mining communities Interventions for SAMI to catch up with 2023 HCT milestones Increase collaboration: pubic and private sector Improve access to MDR treatments (Cumbersome) Leverage on technology Improve access and management, incl. cross border employees Focus on adherence and treatment completion Back to basics: peer educators, counselling (quality) Improving trust between employees and HCWs HCT at all service points (Diversify HCW skills) Comprehensive mortality audits (preventable?) Added focus of vulnerable populations (Comorbidities) Specific interventions for high risk groups (youth) Prioritise full package of prevention interventions Self-testing for HIV with linkage to care Education and awareness Innovative campaigns and use of social media Revive local AIDS councils (TB/HIV, data, multisectoral approach) 25 years in Pursuit of Zero Harm

Recommendations from the session Interventions for SAMI to maintain TB incidence rate below national Scale up self-screening for TB Intensified screening and management of employees in high risk and vulnerable situations Improved Infection, Prevention and Control Measures (lessons from COVID & new TB guidance) Retain people in care until treatment completion Contact Tracing that is resource intensive Education and Awareness Advance Tier.net in the industry/ Interphase Tier.net with Occupational Health Systems in the industry OMPs should be at the forefront of getting relevant information (data, guidance, etc. alignment) Address risk factors (Anti smoking Campaigns) Intensify multisectoral and multi-stakeholder collaborations 25 years in Pursuit of Zero Harm
