Kirkham Heritage Lantern Festival Saturday 2 Kirkham Heritage Lantern Festival Saturday 2 March 2024 March 2024 Notice to residents/businesses March 2024 Important Dates & Times The prohibition , indicated by the road closed signs shown in the map below, will be operative from 1000 hours on Saturday 2 March 2024 until 2000 hours on Saturday 2 March 2024. Access will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. The closure is requested by the organisers of the Lantern Festival. Kirkham Heritage Lantern Festival Kirkham Heritage Lantern Festival Saturday 2 March 2024 Saturday 2 March 2024 Notice to residents/businesses March 2024 Church Street,Birley Street and Preston Street Access Church Street will be open to accommodate access to the Church, School and residents. The parade will begin at 6.15pm from the United Reformed Church and pass through Poulton Street and Church Street shortly after on its way to the Church. There will be some disruption to residents and users of Church Street during the parade however this will only be temporary. Preston Street and Freckleton Street will remain open throughout the parade. Access to Birley Street will be unavailable for vehicles, other than emergency vehicles , throughout the road closure. The organisers advise parking on the community centre for the duration of the festival. For further information please speak to a festival steward on the day. Poulton Street (Mill Street/Town End to Kirkgate) Access to Poulton Street from Mill Street/Town End up to the Junction with Clegg Street will be available. Poulton Street will be closed from its junction with Clegg Street to Market Square. Page 1
