  2. VS THE FIXED MINDSET THE GROWTH MINDSET People with a growth mindset believe that intelligence and personality can be developed through application and experience People with a fixed mindset believe that intelligence and personality are fixed and unchanging

  3. VS THE FIXED MINDSET THE GROWTH MINDSET If I have to practice, that means I m not good enough! The more I practice, the better I get! Motivation to learn something new

  4. VS THE FIXED MINDSET THE GROWTH MINDSET No one can know that I don t understand this! Then they ll believe that I m a failure! I simply don t understand this! I d better ask for help to make sure I get it. Motivation when there s something they don t understand

  5. VS THE FIXED MINDSET THE GROWTH MINDSET I don t know anything about that topic! I hope I don t come off as stupid! I m sure it will be fine. I ll just read it through one more time and then I ll nail it. Motivation in relation to giving a presentation in front of your class

  6. VS THE FIXED MINDSET THE GROWTH MINDSET But I didn t have enough time to work on the paper, and my lecturer s assessment was really unfair! Oh well, never mind. I should probably have taken a more structured approach to my paper. I ll just have to do a better job next time. Motivation when they receive a lower grade than they expected
