Key Themes Information: We need the right information at the right time Integrated working: Services provided feel disjointed Immediacy of care: Services need to be fast and immediately responsive Support for carers: Carer s quality of life is poor Non-traditional services: Peer to peer support is important Specialist nurses: The nurses had knowledge and compassion Paid Carers: There is a lack of training and empathy GP Services: The relationship with your GP is very important District Nurses: Seeing different nurses can lead to inconsistent care Hospital Care: Compassion and empathy is important

  5. Dying Matters: You Only Die Once This year Dying Matters Awareness week will take place 12th-18thMay. This year s theme is You only die once . There will be an event run by Islington CCG. Date: Weds 18 Date: Weds 18th Time: 10am Time: 10am- -4pm thMay 2015 May 2015 4pm Venue: Islington Assembly Hall , Upper Street, London, N1 2UD Venue: Islington Assembly Hall , Upper Street, London, N1 2UD The event will include workshops covering topics such as will writing, advice about affordable funerals and and support for people with long term conditons . There will also be information stalls from local service providers. FREE complementary therapy taster sessions FREE lunch & refreshments Everyone welcome to attend this FREE event!
