What is in the Reporting Pipeline Creating more reports to help with addressing data integrity issues especially around Projects and GL balances Reviewing and exploring direct data access needs Addressing report speed and functionality exploring ways to optimize reports Moving reports to Cognos Campus familiarity with the user interface Allows for online viewing and drilldown capability Ability to export to excel, .csv and .pdf 3
What is in the Reporting Pipeline, cont. Reports identified for moving to Cognos: UCD Faculty & Department Portfolio Report UCD Transaction Listing Report UCD Transaction Listing Report with GL & Subledger Detail UCD PPM to GL Non-Sponsored Projects Reconciliation Report Approval granted for the hiring of an additional Developer and Financial Analyst to assist with managing the backlog of work 4
New Reports in Development PPM to GL Non-Sponsored Projects Reconciliation Report This report will be used to reconcile Non-Sponsored Project balances between GL and PPM, allowing users to research discrepancies, making necessary adjustments where variances exist. Resources need to be able to report accurate Project Balances to Faculty and Staff in making informed decisions. UCD PPM Sponsored Project Cost Report The UCD PPM Sponsored Project Cost Report will display Award and Project expenditure details for Sponsored Projects. The UCD PPM Sponsored Project Cost Report would allow users to run by Project Owning Org., Award Number, Project Number, Expenditure Category, PPM Invoice Number, Invoice Status, and Expenditure Item Date and Accounting Period ranges. UCD PPM Budget History Report New report to allow Project Managers and Functional Users to extract all historical budget details for projects or group of projects. Report will allow users to compare changes over time, and to ensure the GL balance for the project aligns with the PPM Project budget. UCD PPM Project Cost Report The new UCD PPM Project Cost Report will display Award, Project, and Task expenditure details similar to the Manage Project Costs page with expanded search parameters and relevance in reporting output. 5

Aggie Enterprise Reporting Workgroup The purpose of the Aggie Enterprise Reporting Workgroup is to: Identify reporting needs Guide decisions related to the prioritization Review current reporting plans and requests for new or revised reports for UC Davis We are currently making updates to the AE Reporting webpage to include the charter. AE Reporting website Report Prioritization page Aggie Enterprise Help form - Link to submit report requests for new, changes or defects. 7
