Leadership Perceptions of Technical Education Offered and Employer Engagement Value
The research discusses leadership perspectives on technical education and the significance of employer engagement in education and training settings. Topics covered include the education reforms in England, challenges faced in UTCs, and the emergence of research problems.

LEARNING Objectives TEKS: 130.231.(c)(1)(A, & B) and 130.231.(c)(2)(A, B, C, F, & G) & (3)(B) Students will develop new knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the female reproductive system (RS). Students will describe the internal and external female RS organs and structures. Students will explain the female menstrual cycle. Students will compare the 4 different hormones of the menstrual cycle.
Objetivos de aprendizaje TEKS: 130.231.(c)(1)(A, & B) and 130.231.(c)(2)(A, B, C, F, & G) & (3)(B) .
Female Human Reproductive System Biologically, the primary role of the female reproductive system is to prepare for, develop, and deliver _______________________. The primary sex organs of the female R.S. are the ovaries, which are solid and oval-(or egg)shaped. The ovaries produce the sex cells and the sex hormones. Located on each side of the lateral wall of the pelvic bone.
Female RS Anatomy The female RS includes both external and internal anatomic structures. External: these structures function to enable ____________ to enter the body and to protect the internal genitalia from infectious organisms. The external structures: Labia majora (large lips), grows hair and contains both sweat and oil glands once the pt reaches puberty Labia minor (small lips), run longitudinal and interior to the labia majora and surround the opening of both the vagina and urethra. The labia minor is very delicate skin that can easily become inflamed and erythematous.
Female RS Anatomy The external structures (cont d): Bartholin s gland secretory gland that ___________ the mucosal vaginal fluid. Clitoris the small and sensitive region of skin where the two labia minor meet and is covered by the prepuce (akin to the male foreskin). When the clitoris is stimulated, it can become erect. The internal structures and organs: Vagina the canal that connects the outside of body to the uterus (cervix). The vagina is also called the _____________________ canal. Uterus: a hollow and pear-shaped organ where the fetus develops. There are 2 parts to the uterus Cervix Corpus
Female RS Anatomy The internal structures and organs: Uterus: a hollow and pear-shaped organ where the fetus develops. There are 2 parts to the uterus: Cervix the hard or stiff region at the base (inferior) section of the uterus that opens to the vagina. Corpus - the main body of the uterus that ______________ during fetal development. Ovaries: The ovaries are small, oval-shaped glands that are located on either side of the uterus. The ovaries produce eggs and hormones. Fallopian tubes: These narrow tubes attach to the superior uterus and serve as pathways for the ova (egg cells) to travel from the ovaries to the uterus.
Female RS Physiology The Menstrual Cycle Menstru means "monthly Cycle occurs in a periodic pattern every 28 days (or so). Beginning around age 11-16, a female begins her menstrual cycle. With each cycle, the body prepares for a potential pregnancy. If the ova (female egg) is not fertilized (no reproduction), then the uterine lining sheds and causes bleeding, or the period.
Female RS Physiology The Menstrual Cycle The average menstrual cycle takes about ______ days and occurs in three phases. The follicular phase is the development of the egg. The ovulatory phase is the release of the egg. The luteal phase - The hormone levels decrease if the egg does not _____________ into the uterine wall.
Female RS Physiology The Hormones There are ________________ hormones involved in the female menstrual cycle. FSH follicular-stimulating hormone (together with LH, the hormones are released from the brain and travel to the ovaries to increase the production of estrogen and stimulate the growth of 15 to 20 eggs within the shell or follicle.) LH luteinizing hormone (together with FSH, the hormones are released from the brain and travel to the ovaries to increase the production of estrogen and stimulate the growth of 15 to 20 eggs within the shell or follicle.) Estrogen released in response to increased FSH and LH. Also has a negative feedback loop to stop LH and FSH if it gets too high. This creates a balance of hormones so the body shuts off the production of eggs once it has about 20 developed for each cycle. Progesterone prepares the uterus for implanation if the egg is fertilized
