  2. GRAMMAR QUANTIFIERS A FEW AND A LITTLE The quantifiers A FEW (nekoliko) and A LITTLE (malo) are used to denote quantity. They mean some and they imply that there is enough of something.

  3. GRAMMAR QUANTIFIERS A FEW AND A LITTLE A FEW is used with countable nouns. Countable nouns have a singular and a plural form (book-books, house-houses, boy-boys, child- children...) ONE, TWO, THREE APPLES A FEW APPLES ONE, TWO, THREE BOOKS A FEW BOOKS

  4. GRAMMAR QUANTIFIERS A FEW AND A LITTLE A LITTLE is used with uncountable nouns. Uncountable nouns only have a singular form (milk, sugar, flour, water, juice...) ... SUGAR A LITTLE SUGAR ... WATER A LITTLE WATER

  5. GRAMMAR QUANTIFIERS A FEW AND A LITTLE EXAMPLES: They bought a few eggs and a little milk. We have a little flour and a few apples. There are a few oranges and a little sugar on the table.

VOCABULARY 4.2 PANCAKES FOR JANE Exercise 1 (p. 45): FLOUR - powder made from grain, especially wheat, used for making bread, cakes, pasta, pastry, etc. EGGS - the oval objects with a hard shell that are produced by female birds, especially chickens, eaten as food CAKE - a sweet food made with a mixture of flour, eggs, fat, and sugar PANCAKE - a thin, flat, round cake made from a mixture of flour, milk, and egg, fried on both sides MARSHMALLOWS - soft candies made mainly of sugar
