ASG Context 1 secondary 7 associated primaries, high turnover of HTs 1 nursery LHS capped at 300, waiting list Strong pastoral programme Limited sustained impact on anything else
LHS Mathematics CAR January 2018 The overall quality of Learning, Teaching and Assessment is satisfactory. There are strengths however there are clear inconsistencies across the faculty in the quality of planned learning which at times has a significant impact on the learners experience and engagement. The team should prioritise improvements in the BGEd and phase in improvements beginning with the new S1 in August 2018.
LHS Mathematics CAR January 2018 The Mathematics Team has a very strong work ethic and commitment to our students. Staff are honest and displayed an openness throughout the CAR process. Work to improve the overall consistency of the student experience and engagement should place a focus on more active, collaborative and consistently varied learning activities which challenge all students to develop a deeper understanding of associated content.
We needed to learn from our ASG colleagues, systematically and over a period of time
