What is learning-rich leadership? Leadership that: fosters the learning of educator teams is evidenced through practice changes and raises ECE service quality
What connects leadership with quality improvement in ECE? Leadership practices that foster: Whole-of-system learning, not just individual learning Change in practices, not just new knowledge, attitudes or behaviours Innovation, not just compliance
Challenges our research is trying to address: sustainability and appropriateness Leadership practices that don t burn out leaders Leadership practices that keep working if the leader leaves Leadership practices that are industrially appropriate for a sector with limited non-contact time and variable quality Leadership practices that are professionally appropriate for a sector with diverse qualifications and variable resources
