Mid-Hudson Streetlight Consortium A project supported by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) with ultimate goal to convert as many municipalities to LED as quickly as possible. Buying power through group discount Simplified procurement Educate and support municipalities

  3. LED- Light-Emitting Diodes use less energy and last longer!

  4. Why the interest in LEDs? The U.S Department of Energy estimates that widespread adoption of LED lighting by 2025 will: Reduce electricity demands from lighting by 62 percent Eliminate 258 million metric tons of carbon emissions Reduce the amount of materials being put into landfills Avoid the building of 133 new power plants Save the US over $280 billion 4
