PAPA OVERVIEW Our Purpose Fundraising and logistical support for Leigh Performing Arts Department Oldest and largest booster club > 300 students and more than 12 performing groups Our Programs Theater Arts programs Technical Theater, Musical Theater, Showcases, Thespian Troupe Instrumental Music Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band Choir Marching Arts Marching Band, Winter Guard, Winter Percussion Our Support Program specific fundraisers (i.e. personal donations, company, matching, bake sales, See s Candy, Snap) General fundraisers (Rummage Sale, Crab Feed, Longhorn Stampede, Escrip/Amazon) Volunteer

PAPA OPERATING BUDGET 2016-2017 BUDGET - $368,000 RESTRICTED INCOME UNRESTRICTED INCOME Raised through fundraising for all PAPA Raised for a specific activity Goes toward operations and program support (i.e., state competitions, festivals) Money In = Money Out Marching Band = $157,000 Theater Arts/Musical Theater = $40,000 Winter Percussion = $59,000 $16,000 less this year due to Safeway leaving Escrip Winter Guard = $34,000 Thespian Trip = $24,000

UNRESTRICTED INCOME $38,000 GENERAL OPERATIONS ($16K) PROGRAM SUPPORT (22K) Administrative Expenses = $4,500 Marching Band = $4,000 Board Contingency Fund = $500 Music Class CMEA = $1,000 Blossom Hill Festival = $3,000 Theater Arts Showcase = $1,000 Choir Uniforms = $5,000 Winter Percussion = $4,000 Performing Arts Dept. = $500 Winter Guard = $8,000 Scholarships = $2,000 Thespian Trip = $4,000 Trailers/Vehicles = $500

  8. BUDGET 2015 - 2016 SURPLUS = $10,000 Applied towards areas needing extra support as per the request of the Directors Instrumental repairs/cleaning = $3,000 Theater Arts equipment upgrades = $3,000 Reserve (to be assessed in winter) = $4,000

PAPA GOALS AND OBJECTIVES Long-Term Objectives Continue to inspire and grow the strong body of PAPA members and volunteers Strengthen partnership with ACTS and drama parents Establish an on-going carry-over budget to enable investments to grow programs Principles Centrally share and store knowledge, guidelines, and tools, welcome new people Track actions, hold each other accountable, offer support Think performing arts , not just band Annual Goals Meet (or beat) 2015-2016 volunteer numbers Raise funds through Rummage Sale, Crab Feed, Stampede and find a fundraiser to replace loss from eScrip decline Keep PAPA website continually up to date and the community well informed of events Provide equitable exposure, financial, and volunteer support to all programs
