OVERVIEW -This chapter introduces you to other common, regular and irregular adjectives, and to nouns related to professions. You will also learn and practice, the pronunciation of the new words. -As you know, adjectives can be regular (you just add an E) or irregular (they have other changes in the feminine or plural form). g n reux/g n reuse Fou/ folle Genial (singular)/ g niaux (plural), also: g n ral (g n raux) -Remember that some adjectives remain the same in the masculine and feminine form: antipathique, faible, modeste, p nible (they all end in e)
PROFESSIONS Notice also that most of the professions are the same. Most of them end in E, and we know the gender of a professional through the article (un/une or le/la). Example: un architecte/ une architecte The following professions have no changes, not even in the article. un ing nieur (can be a woman or a man) un m d cin, un professeur: Some professions: 1. artiste 2. athl te 3. journaliste 4. ing nieur 5. homme d affaires 6. avocat 7. m d cin/dentiste 8. architecte
