  1. Social Media Marketing Client Project By: Van Johnson

  2. Client Background: My client s name is Monica Johnson, she is a PartyLite Independent Consultant. She is located in Olathe Ks. Monica got started in the business of selling candles in August 2005. She started selling candles because she loves them so much, and it seemed like a fun way to earn extra money. Monica has a full time job and is a part time college student. She is a recent graduate from JCCC. She is currently attending Ottawa University. She enjoys meeting other people who loves candles and accessories. Monica is trying to become a full time Consultant. There are many people in the area who have purchased candles and other items from her in a sales party setting. She is ready to branch out into the Social media business world.

  3. Initial Analysis: Strengths: Monica already has a business web page. partylite.biz/moniedee She has a Personal Facebook page.(It is not a business page) Monica also has a Client email list. Weaknesses: We have to build other sites from the bottom up. Zero funds for marketing until after June 1st2016. Limited time to focus on campaigns.

  4. Initial Plan Create social media sites to drive potential client base to business web page to gain potential sales. Challenges: There are other Consultants out on Social media in the local area. How does my client standout?

  5. Lets Party We started with going on Monica s Facebook page and created a Business Facebook page: We added some partylite pictures and a cute Picture of Monica. We added her Business website and phone number for easy access and a personal touch. Partylite.biz/moniedee Facebook traffic was slow. Monica sent out emails to her email client base and they started friending Monica on her personal page. Monica s personal page is attached to her business page it helped but, not the way we had hoped. She has about 140 family and friends. She has about 100 people sitting in her friends request que right now because of the email. She has to except them but first she is vetting them because they will be out on the business page. It is in its infant stages but please check it out. www.facebook.com/moniedee5

  6. Twitter and Instagram We created Twitter and Instagram accounts for Monica. Monica isn t ready to work with Instagram at this time. The Twitter account went from nothing to following 16 groups, she has 4 followers and 2 list for future use. We sent out a couple of tweets to see what would happen. Nothing happened so far. https://twitter.com/moniedee5567 Partylite.biz/moniedee

  7. Surprise Google+ The most surprising campaign was from Google plus. We created a Google+ page for Monica and we received over 2000 hits. We want to build this page further and maybe it will become my clients most successful page. https://plus.google.com/u/0/112674405509247892217/posts/p/pub

  8. Post Analysis My client is excited about her future on Social Media. We have to download more pictures on all the sites and broadcast in a way that will attract more traffic to Monica s sites. Her list of potential customers will be on her Facebook page by the end of May. Monica wants to be in the middle of all the developing stages of her sites. My client wants to focus on creating a Personal positive Brand. We will create a community of candle lovers in the area on Twitter by engaging people with more personal tweets. This will help my client learn what the cusomers really want so we can address their needs and build long lasting relationships. We will vet the list of clients on her Facebook page que, and except the new friends that will hopefully bring more clients. We will explore Google plus and develop a weekly add campaign for a month to showcase the up coming sales on Monica s personal web page.

  9. Lessons learned Now that my client has Social media pages started she understands branding even more. She wants to be known as the personal candle lady. It takes time, and patience to create a successful campaign for business on Social media. You must engage with a positive and honest dialogue. The most important thing I ve learned is that you can only go as fast as your client wants to. And even when sales aren t happening positive branding should be happening.
