IVLJENJE Pri 19-ih letih se je navdu il za kemijo V mladosti se je ve ino ukvarjal z elektriko Kasneje se je zaposlil kot pomo ni predavatelj kemije.
DELO Odkril pomen N2O, Razstavil vodo na vodik in kisik, Odkril je klor(Cl), bor(B) in barij(Ba), Napisal je ve knjig, Dokazal je, da je diamant grajen iz ogljika, Izumil je umetno muho za ribi e. skonstruiral je baterijo iz ve kot 250 celic, varnostno svetilko za rudarje . . . . . . . . . . . . .
NAGRADE Za svoje znanstvene dose ke je Davy leta 1805 prejel Copleyevo medaljo Kraljeve dru be iz Londona. Leta 1807 je prejel Napoleonovo nagrado za svoja odkritja
HUMPHRY DAVY Trikrat je obiskal tudi na e kraje: leta 1813, 1818, in 1827.
