Life is in the Vine Remain in the Vine and Bear Much Fruit. Deuteronomy 30: 11-20
11Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. Deuteronomy 30: 11-20 NIV
12It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it? 13Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it? Deuteronomy 30: 11-20 NIV
14No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it. Deuteronomy 30: 11-20 NIV
15See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. Deuteronomy 30: 11-20 NIV
16For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. Deuteronomy 30: 11-20 NIV
17But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, 18I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess. Deuteronomy 30: 11-20 NIV
19This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. Deuteronomy 30: 11-20 NIV
For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Deuteronomy 30: 11-20 NIV
Life is in the Vine Life and Blessing Found in Obedience
16For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. Deuteronomy 30: 16 NIV
If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. Deuteronomy 28: 1 NIV
I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.2He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. John 15:1-2 NIV
Life is in the Vine Destruction Comes By Turning Away
7And Joshua said, Alas, Sovereign LORD, why did you ever bring this people across the Jordan to deliver us into the hands of the Amorites to destroy us? If only we had been content to stay on the other side of the Jordan! Joshua 7: 7 NIV
I will not be with you anymore unless you destroy whatever among you is devoted to destruction. Joshua 7: 12 NIV
6If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. John 15:6 NIV
Life is in the Vine Hold Fast to the Lord- He is the Vine Who Gives Life
5I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. John 15: 5 NIV
Then the LORD said to Joshua, Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Take the whole army with you, and go up and attack Ai. For I have delivered into your hands the king of Ai, his people, his city and his land. Joshua 8:1 NIV
