Light Peer Review in IPAC25 Zong-Kai Liu NSRRC 2025/1/6 IPAC 25 SPC3 meeting Tokyo, Japan
LPR Process for IPAC25 Maximum of 120 papers. Priority will be given first to student, and second to junior scientist/engineer with experience on particle accelerator not beyond 10 years. 120 submitted papers Zong-Kai Liu Ping-Jung Chou Wei-Yuan Chiang Assign 3 managers: 1 chair and 2 co-chairs (as Judge). Expected Reviewers: 32 OCs, 90 SABs, 28 Invited Speakers, some LOCs and volunteers. Reviewers (OC/SPC/SAB/invited talk/ ) From Minutes of OC1 and SPC1, IPAC 25
Works after SPC2 Contract signed with IOP completed. To publish in Journal of Physics: Conference Series Total 120 papers (max.). Cost USD 66.5 per submitted article. Upload all articles to IOP by 2025/6/20, and IOP will publish them online within three months of receipt.
Future Preparation Works Running a trial LPR with Nicolas around February: submit a few fake papers and try to go through the workflow.
LPR Timeline The announced timeline: https://ipac25.org/authorLightPeerReview.asp Open for LPR paper submissions. (Max.120 papers) 12 March Deadline for LPR paper submission. 7 April Papers sent to referees. 8-10 April Deadline for 1stround evaluation of papers by referees. 18 April Deadline for paper resubmission. (for papers that were neither accepted nor rejected after the 1st round). Paper automatically resent to the same referees upon resubmission. 29 April Deadline for 2nd(the final) evaluation of papers 14 May Notify the authors of the acceptance regarding their articles and inform them about the formatting revisions. 16 May Deadline for authors to reformat the accepted papers to IOP template 30 May Submission deadline for accepted peer review papers to IOP 20 June
