Is lingual orthodontics Truly Invisible? What is Lingual Orthodontics? We must first know a brief history of lingual orthodontics and how did it start. The meaning of lingual is towards or near the tongue, so lingual braces are nothing but orthodontic braces placed on the inner side of your teeth. This makes your treatment invisible. History about lingual orthodontics. Lingual orthodontic first prototype was created in 1975 for a female model with a high demand for esthetic needs due to her carrier in modeling. How does it work? The lingual braces grabs your teeth from the inside and with the help of orthodontic wires they move the teeth to its desired place. Is it truly invisible line of treatment?
