  1. MACOSH Longshore Workgroup Status Update August 20th 2014 Workgroup Membership Project list Current Document for Submittal Works in Progress

  2. LSWG Membership Activities Solomon Egbe appointed to LSWG Four conference calls conducted One document completed One document in draft form Two SYWG documents reviewed and comments submitted

  3. Project Status 1) Prevention of Tractor Lifting and Container Landing Hard Tractor Lift complete CLH to be separate document. 2) Log Handling Fall Prevention Postponeduntil next charter. Log Handling document cleared to proceed. 3) Accuracy of Declared Container Weights LSWG will draft a whitepaper identifying the risks to shore based operations in light of IMO focus on impact to vessels at sea. 4) Baggage Handling in Cruise Terminal Operations Work in Progress. Expanded to all related Longshore functions. Anticipate producing a guidance document as well as 2 -3 Quick Cards. 5) Review of 2010 IMO Annex 14 (Safe Working Conditions for Securing Containers on Deck) LSWG to determine if an awareness document is warranted for our workers
