D anaim iarracht gach l tortha a thabhairt d ibh itheann Caoimhe lla, s tha tal n agus caora f ni na...itheann Si n or ist , banana agus s tha tal n chomh maith ach n maith l i lla. Task 5: Listen to the recording again but this time use the tapescript (opposite). Listen as many times as you want try to use the script to read along with Sin ad as she talks.

  7. Task 6: See if you can record yourself saying a few sentences on the same topic, using Sin ad s recording as a model. Option: Send the recording to a fellow-parent in your class (on your phone, maybe) if you can, and get some feedback on your effort!

  8. Language corner Note the structure n r it onn c is l i cheese doesn t agree with her she is allergic to cheese. Look at these sample sentences and then try to compose your own. Model: N r it onn X liom/leat/leis/l i. N r it onn pl r liom. An r it onn c is leat? N r it onn bainne leis.

  9. Language corner Did you notice how bosca and l n together make bosca l in ? Look at the other examples in the table on the right. The second noun changes in each case this change is called the Tuiseal Ginideach. Nothing to be afraid of! It just means in these examples that when 2 words sit next to each other the second one changes the second word is now in a different state called the Genitive Case the Tuiseal Ginideach. Simple! p irc + peil = p irc peile m la + scoil = m la scoile ceapaire + c is = ceapaire c ise c irt + lead g = c irt lead ige
